The Arizona Diamondbacks is one of the younger franchises in major league baseball. Their first year playing was 1998 (same as the now-called Tampa Bay Rays). Since then, they have been Division champions five times, National League champions once, and they’ve won the World Series once—in 2001. 1999 was their strongest year for regular season wins, when they won a whopping 100 games—and that’s no easy feat!

The Arizona Diamondbacks’ home stadium is Chase Field, where they’ve played since their inception into MLB. The roof of the stadium can be opened or closed depending on temperature and weather conditions. It takes just over four minutes to open or close the roof at Chase Field. Cooling the stadium is a massive undertaking, and was not always complete. However, now the HVAC system has the power, thanks to the nearby cooling plant, to cool the stadium by 30 degrees, making it comfortable and safe for players and fans alike.

What can we expect form the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2016 MLB season? They’ve certainly had some great years.
